Mission
Statement of The Xenon Foundation
To provide a
foundation for the professional licensed practicing cosmetologist in
North America. Through the guidance of the executive director, board
of directors and its' sponsors; The Xenon Foundation will provide a
set amount of financial assistance to professional licensed
cosmetologists stricken with a terminal illness, who have no means of
financial support. In addition, The Xenon Foundation will provide
scholarships to individuals desiring to attend beauty school and
obtaining their cosmetology license at a school, of their choice. Both
endowments will be granted and determined by the executive director
and board of directors, according to the guidelines set forth by the
foundation and made available to all licensed practicing
cosmetologists and individuals of all races, religions and ethnic
backgrounds wishing to attend beauty school.
The Xenon
Foundation was formed in 2001 in compliance with the final wish of
its' originator, Peter M. Franelli aka, Xenon who passed away on
February 7, 2001. As an educator, teacher, platform artist, school
owner and master hair artist, Xenon inspired countless students of
cosmetology and licensed cosmetologists all over the world, to have a
passion to learn and a passion for the cosmetology industry.
The Xenon
Foundation will select a board of directors consisting of individuals
associated with the cosmetology industry such as: manufacturers,
distributors, media, salon owners, licensed cosmetology teachers,
licensed cosmetologists and etc. all of which will serve on the board
with no salary compensation. The foundation will employ an executive
director and staff to ensure the proper operation of said foundation.
The financial
security of the foundation will be obtained by corporate sponsorships,
individual and private donations, and various fund raising events. All
donations will be invested properly to secure the on going operations
of The Xenon Foundation.
